City Officials Tour Milford Wellness Village, Gain Insight into Latest Healthcare Services & Business Opportunities

As the Milford Wellness Village continues to expand its range of services, several City of Milford officials toured the innovative campus to learn about the latest healthcare amenities and new business opportunities available to the community.

Nationwide Healthcare Services, owner and operator of the Milford Wellness Village, hosted Milford officials including Mayor Arthur Campbell, City Councilmembers Jason James, Sr. (Vice Mayor), Todd Culotta and Andrew Fulton, City Manager Mark Whitfield and Police Chief Kenneth Brown.

“Our ongoing partnership with the City of Milford and the surrounding community provides us with the support to deliver high-quality health services and new opportunities for all residents to enjoy,” said Nationwide Healthcare Services CEO Meir Gelley. “The Milford Wellness Village is a 21st-century campus that integrates health, education and many other amenities for all ages – all at one convenient location.”

City officials learned about the forward-thinking, patient-centered campus model, which is a one-stop shop for value based community health. Individuals and families will be able to visit their primary care doctor and walk next door to have a prescription filled. Milford officials visited several businesses already providing services such as La Red Health Center, Aquacare Physical Therapy and the Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

“The services at the Milford Wellness Village are a necessity to the entire community, and especially this part of the state,” said Mayor Campbell. “It will greatly improve the growth of Milford and expand on what is becoming a medical hub for the region. This is great benefit for all ages and we couldn’t be more pleased with Nationwide Healthcare Services selecting this site to bring it all together.”

Many more businesses are planning to open their doors soon at the 266,000-square-foot campus. This includes, Kidz, Inc. Academy, a day care center with an added dimension of socialization and learning for their child, and Nurses ’n Kids, a day care center for children with acute & chronic medical needs – along with many other social and behavioral health services.

“The Wellness Village continues to take shape even as we adjust to the current challenging environment,” said Gelley. “We continue to meet the needs of the Milford community and we look forward to expanding our services any way that we can.”
