Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center receives top award from American College of Health Care Administrators

Nationwide Healthcare Services is honored that one of its facilities, Renaissance Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, has been awarded the prestigious Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award from the American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA).

This distinction is given to leaders nationwide in the skilled-nursing field who receive outstanding scores on key quality indicators. The facilities are also evaluated based on their occupancy levels and three years of survey data.

The award is a reflection of the excellent leadership of facility administrator Carmella Kane, according to the ACHCA.

“We are honored to receive the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award, which highlights our continued commitment to excellence and devotion to quality care for all our residents,” said Meir Gelley, President of Nationwide Healthcare Services LLC. “Nationwide is dedicated to superior outcomes and the highest performance. I would also like to congratulate Carmella – this award is a testament to her dedication and leadership at Renaissance.”

This is the second major award that Renaissance, located in West Philadelphia, has received in recent months.

“I would like to thank the dedicated staff at Renaissance and across the Nationwide family for their hard work and commitment to our residents,” said facility administrator Carmella Kane, MA, NHA. “That commitment is evident every day and is why we have become one of the best skilled nursing facilities in the country.”

In recognition of the positive impact she has on the lives of facility residents, their families and her colleagues, Kane was also named a 2015 Administrator of the Year by the Pennsylvania Health Care Association

Nationwide, based in Brick, N.J., owns and operates six skilled nursing facilities in Pennsylvania and Delaware and is dedicated to delivering excellent care to residents.

Nationwide will be presented with this award during the ACHCA’s annual conference in the spring. ACHCA is a non-profit professional membership organization that provides career development, training and educational opportunities to skilled nursing facilities across the country.
